Victor Sierra is a steampunk/dieselpunk/goth duo consisting of Commander Bob and The Legendary Converted Princess. The band has performed extensively at steampunk events around the world and in cyberspace. Many songs relate retrofuturistic adventures from aboard the Hydrogen Queen, the duo’s fictional airship.

A World War II era aircraft carrier might be the last place where you’d expect to see a goth event, but that was the setting on Saturday, May 4 as The Menagerie presented San Francisco’s 4th Annual World Goth Day Festival.
Steampunk might be about imaginary worlds and pasts that never were, but sometimes reality intrudes. As Russia continues its invasion of Ukraine, several top musical acts in the steampunk world have taken a stand.
Ghostfire released “Neptune’s Call,” the second single in its recent comeback, while Unwoman is out with a cover of Halsey’s “The Tradition.” Also: Victor Sierra is set to release a new song in remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001 NYC terrorist attacks.
The Paris-based “Steamgoth” trio and Seattle-based “nerd folk” artist have been frequent performers at steampunk events. The free festival will also feature sets by Death Ingloria, The Gothsicles, Greg Klyma, and many more.
“The Witness” is based on a track from the band’s latest album, Imperfect Meridians. It appears to be filmed aboard The Hydrogen Queen, the airship that’s central to much of their music.
The album features 12 tracks with new retrofuturistic adventures from aboard Victor Sierra’s airship. The band, led by Commander Bob, funded the album on Indiegogo.
