Captain of the Lost Waves describes himself as “a troubadour, storyteller, and free-thinking renegade,” creating music “where melodic invention meets alternative folk, progressive, world and ambient sounds.”

He has frequently performed at steampunk events in the U.K. In 2024, he released Beautiful Ugly, his first album since a 2022 car accident that left him with serious injuries.
