Professor Elemental Traverses Time and Space in New Album ‘Apequest 2’
Chap hop artist Professor Elemental is out with Apequest 2, a new album in which he attempts to bring back Geoffrey, his terrible yet beloved orangutan butler.
The album’s 14 tracks continue a storyline from the Professor’s 2021 album Nemesis. There, Geoffrey “took on the ultimate sacrifice,” the Professor recalls, and became a constable of time and space.
But now the chap hop maestro is lonely without his “best and hairiest friend.” So he puts on his time travel trousers to see if he can make things right.
The album was produced by his frequent collaborator Tom Caruana. It includes contributions from Madam Misfit, the Sweetchunks, Victor Vector, and John Sprocket of The Cog Is Dead.
Along with the album, the Professor released a music video of “Friendly Vikings,” a time travel tale in which he’s accompanied by the Sweetchunks.
The album is available now on Bandcamp, to be followed by other platforms on Dec. 2.
