Episode 11 of our video series The World of Steampunk is live. It features a video report from the Obtainium Cup Contraptor’s Rally in Northern California, plus clips from the Key City Steampunk Convention in Pennsylvania.
The centerpiece is a Q&A with Ofeibea Loveless of Airship Ashanti, a multicultural steampunk cosplay group from Cincinnati. She discussed the group’s origin story, their philanthropic activities, and how they planned to celebrate their 10th anniversary, including a visit to Dragon Con in Atlanta. She also shared many photos of the group in their costumed splendor.
We produced the Key City segment in advance of a full video report that will run in a future episode, including on-camera interviews with the organizers.
