Professor Elemental and Victor Ghastly’s Electric Timebomb joined forces for Topsy Turvy, a new EP featuring six main tracks, five of which are also included as instrumental versions. Electric Timebomb is a side project for Victor Ghastly, who also leads Victor and the Bully.

The selections include remixes of “Everything Stops for Tea” from the Professor’s 2012 album Father of Invention, and “Showstopper” from last year’s Nemesis.

The duo also released a music video of the “Showstopper” remix to coincide with the EP.

You can order the new release from Bandcamp or the Professor’s website.

Unwoman’s Christmas Treat

Just in time for the holidays, Unwoman released Have Yourself a Gloomy Little Christmas, a four-track EP with her covers of holiday-themed songs.

The lead track is what she describes as a depressing, but not “maximum depressing,” version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” The others are “December Will Be Magic Again” (originally recorded by Kate Bush), “New Years Day” (U2), and “Driven Like the Snow” (Sisters of Mercy).

The EP is available exclusively on Bandcamp.

Madam Misfit on Hold

Madam Misfit released a new music video from her latest album, Pandora’s Box. “Happy to Hold” features a swing hop version of Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” as the Madam raps her frustration about being left on hold. The album is available for download or streaming through the Electro Swing Thing label.
