Morris Museum Exhibition Highlights Steampunk Fashion Styles

Friday, September 20, 2019

The Morris Museum’s Simply Steampunk exhibition ended in August, but you still have a couple more weeks to see Steampunk Fashion, which features costumes and accessories by three contemporary designers plus pieces from the museum’s collection of Victorian-era garb.

In the video above, director of education Kathy Francis discusses the exhibition as the camera explores the designs. “Our hope was to show the Victorian influence alongside the modern steampunk fashions,” she says. The designers are Paige Gardner, Amber O’Boyle Kulp, and Colleen O’Neill. The exhibition runs through Oct. 6 at the museum in Morristown, New Jersey. See the website for more info.
