The Huronia Museum has historical collections, an art gallery, and a village reflecting life between 1500 and 1600, just prior to the arrival of Europeans. It has nearly one million objects in its collections, including artifacts pertaining to native history and maritime history.

The museum is open year-round and receives some 20,000 visitors each year. It provides educational programmes for schools and adults.
