Ulele

1810 N Highland Ave, Tampa, FL 33602

The restaurant and brewery is housed in a former 1903 water pumping station. It's noted for its artwork, some commissioned and some from the collection of owners Richard and Melanie Gonzmart. The centerpiece is a 7-foot bronze statue of Ulele, a legendary princess of the Tocobaga people who occupied the Tampa area during the Spanish colonial period. The front doors are adorned with a set of large metal gears fabricated by welding artist Dominique Martinez and his company, Rustic Steel Creations. The website includes a photo gallery and information about the artwork.
