Art and History Museums, Maitland

This complex includes five museums on two campuses near Orlando: The Maitland Art Center, Waterhouse Residence Museum, Carpentry Shop Museum, The Telephone Museum and Maitland Historical Museum. Waterhouse Residence Museum was built in 1884 and restored to reflect family life in the late Victorian period. The Carpentry Shop Museum houses woodworking tools and materials used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was originally a woodworking and construction business that built much of the original Waterhouse residence. The Telephone Museum covers the history of the telephone, including a local telephone company established in 1910.
