This nine-acre museum on Long Island includes the Dorothy and Ward Melville Carriage House with more than 100 horse-drawn carriages. One gallery, "A Carriage Exposition," is based on the transportation exhibition at 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.

The Bayman’s Art Waterfowl Decoy gallery reproduces an early-20th century shack with tools for making wooden decoys. The Mary and Philip Hulitar Textile Collection has more than 10,000 textiles from the 1700s to the present, including costumes, quilts, and shoes. Other structures include an 1877 one-room schoolhouse and 1875 blacksmith shop. An art museum on the grounds hosts exhibitions on art and history. The website includes a searchable database of the collections.
