The society operates a museum focusing on the history of Scott County near Minneapolis. The museum is housed in a 1908 Dutch Colonial building that was the boyhood home of Maurice Stans, who served as Secretary of Commerce during the Nixon Administration. The museum's construction was financed by a grant from the Stans Foundation.
