It consists of 14 schools and colleges, including the only graduate school of freshwater science in the U.S. and the state's only school of architecture. Libraries: Golda Meir Library is the university's main library. The 379,000-square-foot facility has more than 5.2 million cataloged items, many of which are available electronically through electronic reserve, web-based online catalog, searchable databases and indexes. The library, collections and designated computers are open to the public. Borrowing privileges are extended to Milwaukee-area schoolteachers and members of Friends of the Library. The cost for the latter is $50 per year. Patrons of public libraries in the Milwaukee area may borrow specific materials in the Golda Meir Library through the infoPass program. Check with your local library for details.
