The Museum of Ventura County maintains a collection of fine art and objects related to the county's history and culture. Its holdings include historical figures by sculptor and historian George Stuart of Ojai. Historical artifacts date from the Chumash people who originally occupied the area. The research library contains books, manuscripts, periodicals, photos and other resources and is open to the public. A second location in Santa Paula is devoted to agricultural history.
