The weekend is jam-packed with steampunk events in the U.S., including two new gatherings: The Tell-Tale Steampunk Festival in Baltimore and Galveston Steampunk Festival in Texas. Also happening are MegaCon, WhimsyCon, and 13 Gears.
U.S. steampunk fans in points East and West will have a chance to get out this weekend with events including Top Brass near Sacramento, Down the Rabbit Hole in Maryland, Escape in Time to Steampunk and Wine in Colorado, and Monsterama in Atlanta.
It’s another busy weekend on the U.S. steampunk calendar, especially in Connecticut, where two events are taking place. Meanwhile, WhimsyCon returns to Denver and Milwaukee-area steampunks will raise funds to battle bleeding disorders.

Creature fabrication artist Kristin Dalleske and singer-songwriter Unwoman are among the guests set for WhimsyCon, a steampunk and costuming convention scheduled for Feb. 28-March 1 in Aurora, Colorado, near Denver.

Urban Putt, San Francisco’s steampunk-themed miniature golf course, has opened its second location about 1200 miles away in Denver’s LoDo (Lower Downtown) area. Urban Putt Denver occupies the historic Denver City Cable Railway Building.
