Munster Mansion

3636 FM 813, Waxahachie, TX 75165

The Munster Mansion is a re-creation of the Munster home from the 1960s TV sitcom. The house comes equipped with a grand staircase (which opens up to reveal Spot), a rotating suit of armor, trap doors, secret passages, Grandpa's electric chair, a pipe organ, the raven cuckoo clock, a crooked bat weather vane on the roof and even a dungeon complete with trap door.

The mansion is the home of Sandra and Charles McKee, who began construction in 2001. It is open for occasional events and an annual open house. Other visits are "strictly by invitation," the owners say.
