The society operates the Litchfield History Museum, featuring seven galleries of local history exhibits covering the 18th and 19th centuries. The site includes the Helga J. Ingraham Memorial Library, containing historical research materials. The society also operates the Reeve House & Litchfield Law School at 82 South Street, preserving America's first proprietary law school. The school was founded by Tapping Reeve in 1784 and operated until 1833. The museum and Reeve house are open from mid-Aprll through November. The library and museum shop are open year-round.
