Fairfield University is a private, co-educational undergraduate and master's level teaching-oriented university in Fairfield, Connecticut. It is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. About 3,500 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students study in Fairfield's five schools and colleges: the Fairfield University College of Arts and Sciences, the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, the School of Engineering, the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies, and the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions. Notable alumni include actor/comedian Kevin Nealon.
Library: The DiMenna-Nyselius Library contains an extensive collection of print and electronic resources, including over 300,000 bound volumes, 1800 journals and newspapers, over 11,000 audiovisual items and the equivalent of 92,000 volumes in microform. Guest cards with borrowing privileges are available to alumni and adult residents of Fairfield with current Fairfield Public Library cards. Others may obtain community borrower cards for $100 per year.
