Northern Kentucky University

Northern Kentucky University is a public, co-educational university in in Highland Heights, seven miles southeast of downtown Cincinnati. The university is primarily an undergraduate, liberal arts institution, but it also features graduate programs. Total enrollment currently exceeds 15,000 students, with over 13,000 undergraduate students and over 2,000 graduate students served by nearly 2600 faculty and staff. Notable alumni include actor George Clooney, who studied broadcast journalism at NKU.
Library: NKU's main library is the W. Frank Steely Library. The library's five floors contain over 850,000 volumes, more than 18,000 bound periodicals, and approximately 1.4 million microforms. The library is open to the public. Members of the public may use designated computers in the library to access databases and other online resources. Borrowing privileges are extended to local residents with library cards from the Kenton, Campbell, or Boone Public Libraries. The library also has reciprocal borrowing arrangements with the University of Cincinnati and other academic libraries in Kentucky.
