Lake of the Red Cedars Museum

This museum has exhibits related to the history of the Cedar Lake area near Chicago. It occupies a former 60-room hotel built between 1895 and 1919. The area was known in the 19th and early 20th centuries for its ice industry , and later as a resort. Exhibits include a 1940s-era doctor's office and a fashion collection with items from the 1870s through 1920s. It's operated by the Cedar Lake Historical Association.
