Gallery: Steampunks in Haworth

Steampunk fans returned to the village known for its association with the Brontë sisters

Tuesday, October 12, 2021

After a year’s hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, steampunk fans in the UK once again gathered for Haworth Steampunk Weekend, the annual event hosted by White Rose Yorkshire Steampunks. The West Yorkshire village is known for its association with the Brontë sisters, but on Saturday and Sunday it could have been a setting for a tale by H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, Lewis Carroll, or maybe even Bram Stoker.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

Lots of photographers were there to capture the cosplay, including Bill Nesbitt, who posted his photos on Flickr. They’ll be gone in a few days, but he kindly allowed us to save some favorites in a gallery. You can find more on the White Rose Yorkshire Steampunks Facebook page.
