Jesse James Bank Museum

103 N Water St, Liberty, MO 64068

This museum preserves a 19th century bank that was the site of the first daylight armed bank robbery during peacetime in the United States. The crime has been attributed to a gang led by infamous outlaw Jesse James, though historians are divided on whether he participated. It's been restored to reflect its appearance in 1866 and includes a museum store. It's operated by a department of Clay County, Missouri. The county also operates the Jesse James Farm and Museum.
