Trinity College is a private liberal arts college in Hartford. Founded in 1823, it is the second-oldest college in the state of Connecticut after Yale University. Coeducational since 1969, the college enrolls 2,300 students. Trinity is noted as one of the Little Ivies, along with universities such as Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Amherst, Middlebury, Swarthmore, Wesleyan, and Williams College.

Notable alumni include actor Will McCormack; acrtress Mary McCormack; newspaper columnist George Will; and comic book writer Greg Potter.

Library: Raether Library contains more than 1 million volumes. It is open to the public, but you must register at the Circulation Desk and present a government-issued ID. Two computers are designated for use by visitors.
